Cheetah Print Nails

My friend loved the cheetah print from my animal print nail design, so she told me I had to paint her nails all cheetah print!
The instructions on how to do this are in the animal print nail design the only difference is you paint all of your nails.

Pig and Cow Nail Designs

Pig and Cow Nails
Pig Design
What you will need:
Light pink polish
Hot pink polish
Black nail art polish
Toothpick

My friend told me to do cows on one hand and pigs on the other, so I did! She was so excited when I came to school and showed her my nails! Another thing you could do with this is add different farm animals like a horse or little chicks to one hand. I hope you like this as much as my friend does!

First paint all of your nails light pink. On your thumb and ring finger use your toothpick and paint polka dots evenly on your nail (for this step I find it easier to put a little polish on a piece of paper and dip the toothpick in that). Then take your hot pink polish and paint a semi-circle at the tip of your pinkie, middle, and pointer finger nails. Then paint two strokes for the ears leaving space for the eyes. Lastly, use your black nail art polish and paint on the two eyes and two lines for the nostrils. And your done!

Cow Design
What you will need:
White polish
Light Pink polish
Black nail art polish

Start by painting your nails white. Then use the black nail art polish to paint cow print on every nail but the thumb. To do this use the tip of your brush to make a dot and keep dotting until you get the shape of a cow spot. Make the spots as big or as small as you want and put as many or as few as you want on there! Now on your thumbnail paint a light pink semi-circle at the tip of the nail. Then use your black to create spots on either side of the nail (black deformed semi-circles) and above the nose on either side two small cow spots. All that's left are the eyes, use your black nail art brush and paint two dots in the center of the nail. Now put a top coat on to keep the shine and your done!

Tribal Nail Design

This is my insperation. I love this design! I know mine isn't as neat
but I will keep practicing!

Tribal Nails
What you will need:
Light Brown/Tan nail polish
White nail polish and white nail art polish
Gold nail polish w/ sparkles
Black nail art polish
Toothpick

I am obsessed with anything tribal print! So when I saw this design online I just had to try it! This design takes a while to do so make sure you leave enough time to finish. I painted mine late at night and got too tired to paint both hands :). I hope it will be an easy design and one you can wear everyday! It's perfect if you're obsessed with tribal print like me!

First paint the base coat (thumb and middle finger light brown, pointer finger and pinkie white, and ring finger gold). On your pinkie paint three black lines, then alternate diagonal lines to make a zigzag pattern. Next on your middle finger paint a white line down the middle and on the left side of the line make a black zigzag. To the right of the line paint a gold line then a black line. There should be one stripe of light brown when you finish. Then on your pointer finger paint two lines. To the very left paint three diagonal lines(make them small) then paint three diagonals going the other direction and so on until you get to the top of your nail. Last for the tricky part, the thumb. Leave enough space at the bottom so you can paint a zigzag (I know a lot of zigzags!) and paint a gold line then a white line. Next leave a little more space above the white line and paint a thin black line, a thicker white line, and a thin black line. Go back to the bottom and paint a black zigzag and use a toothpick to paint white polka dots on the outside of the zigzag. In the other space you skipped at the top paint black diagonal lines. Now for the last part! Paint a wavy line in the white closest to the top of your thumb and take a toothpick and paint black dots on the outside of the wave. Your done! All that's left is a top coat to keep the design looking shiny!

Nail Polish Reviews

Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear nail polish is amazing! It stays on for weeks without a top coat and looks fantastic on your nails. Color: Caribbean Coral.
I got the Kiss nail art set for Easter and I have loved it! the brushes are the perfect size and even with one coat the sparkles show up perfectly. It comes with black, white, and silver sparkles. It also comes with stencils. I've used two of the stencils and they are stickers you put on your nail and paint over them. The only thing I don't like about the stencils is they stretch when you take them off your nail.

 Color: Turquoise and Caicos
I have gotten so many complements when I wear this color. All of my friends love it! It's a little expensive at $8.00, but I think its worth it. For the color to show up all the way you have to use two coats, but make sure each coat dries completely before applying another or the polish will clump.
Sinful Colors is a less expensive brand for only $2.00. For two dollars it works great for darker colors, but the neon yellow and neon pink (and I'm sure the rest of the neon colors) You have to apply around 4 or 5 coats to get the color you want and it doesn't have that nail polish shine to it. I bought the white yesterday to do a design and I only had to put on one or two coats to be solid white.
Sally Hansen Crackle overcoat works so well! I haven't used it too much, but I used it in a very cute lace design that I will have a tutorial on soon. You can also use it over your favorite nail polish for an exotic look. Make sure you screw the lid on tight or it will dry out and you don't want that to happen. Another problem is when you scrape of the access polish from the brush it dries on the side so when you close the lid it gets stuck. But when this happens you can run it under hot water and to make it easier to open.

Purple polish
Light purple polish
Pink polish
Light pink polish
Blue polish
Light blue polish
White polish
Yellow polish
Orange polish
Black polish
Dotter tool or a toothpick

Owl necklaces, shirts, earrings, and rings are very popular. So why not carry on the fad to your nails? This is an easy design that you can do on any nail length, from short to long. Who wouldn't want these cute little owls on their nails? If you don't have the colors I used you can substitute them for other colors.

First paint your nails green, purple, pink, blue, and light pink. Then paint the section where the half- moon shape would be on your nail for the belly of the owl, so here you will use all of your lighter colors, light green, purple, pink, blue, and white. Next take the darker color you painted your nails and use a toothpick or a dotter tool to paint dots on the belly (lighter part) of the owl. After you dot the belly, use the dotter to paint on the yellow of the eye and then the black. Now all that's left is the beak. Take your orange and paint a small stripe for the beak. Repeat on other hand, apply top coat, and your done!

Cupcake Nail Art

Cupcakes
What you will need:
Pink Polish
Teal polish
White nail art polish
Cherry red polish
Colors for sprinkles
Toothpick

Cupcakes are delicious! That's what makes them fun and cute to wear on your nails! You can substitute any of these colors to make the cupcake look more realistic but I like colorful so I went with my favorite color of Essie nail polish, turquoise and caicos. This design will make your nails look almost as yummy as a real cupcake!

First paint your nail the color you want the bottom of the cupcake to be (pink). Then paint two thirds of your nail teal leaving one third of pink left. Next take your white nail art brush and paint on the icing, icing is never perfect so put as much on as you like on your cupcakes! After you paint on the icing paint the white lines on the one third of pink. Make sure the lines are touching the teal for the full effect of the cupcake wrapper. For this next step you can use a toothpick or the brush in the bottle. Take your red nail polish and place a red dot at the top of each cupcake for a cherry. Although cupcakes don't have cherries it completes the look. Finally, choose four of your favorite colors for the sprinkles. Use your toothpick and dip it in one of the colors you have chosen and dot sprinkles on the icing part of the cupcake. Repeat until there are enough sprinkles so that your nails pop with color! Add a top coat and your done!

Animal Print Nails

Animal print
What you will need:
Orange polish
Gray polish
White polish
Yellow polish
Gold polish
Black polish(easier with nail art brush)

Rawrr! Time for animal print! In this design there are tiger, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, and zebra animal prints. Change whatever you want and make it your own nail design! It is an easy and fun way to dress up an outfit and express yourself!

Lets get started:
First paint your nails orange, gray, yellow, gold, and white. Then carefully use the black to brush on the zebra and tiger stripes.(this is where it is easier if you have a nail art brush, I did mine with a normal sized brush and they don't look too good) Next be creative with the leopard(gray) by painting dots and semi-circles on the nail. You can also make the dots deformed making it look more like a leopard's fur.Follow the leopard is the giraffe. After you have painted the nail yellow, take your black polish, again, and paint semi to closed messy circles. Once that has dried take your gold or another shade of yellow and paint inside of the circle. Now for the cheetah(gold, I used sparkle but feel free to use a plain gold) recreate the circles you painted from the giraffe and make them smaller, also bring in the dots from the leopard and scatter them any where you think looks good! Then take your orange polish and fill in the circles. Repeat on the other hand and there you have it! An easy and fun way to dress up your nails!
